Does anyone know what model catcher this is and if it would fit a VC160? I did have a download once that showed all the different catchers with their model numbers but I cant find it anymore?
I was having another blonde moment there, I can see that it will definitely not fit the VC160. I would be really interested in that download that was on here a while back though, is it still available?
Happy Christmas Alan, that very attractive looking catcher design came in wide or regular width to fit either a Victa 500/Supreme Twin or early 80s Mustang/Powerplus respectively. The latter will also go on 1970s thumb latch catcher models that share the VC Mustang chassis such as the Impala, VC Sports, VC 125 Mk III and of course the Mustang of the late 1970s.
Judging by the condition and black colour, that is most likely a replacement catcher which come black as standard instead of the original array of colours they came in.
Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!
Thanks for the info. I have a late 70's Mustang that needs a catcher, I suppose I had better ask how wide this one is.
I don't suppose you could point me in the direction of that download? It was really handy as it showed illustrations of all the different types, model numbers and the mowers they fitted. I'm sure I got it here, just cant find it anymore.
