Hello ODK history lovers
L.J. Phillips Pty Ltd of 50 Market Street, Melbourne, made lawnmowers
under the Whirlwind brand.

These Australian Whirlwinds had no connection to the North American ‘
'Whirlwinds' also made at that time.

This brochure dates to about 1958 and has 8 pages (including covers).
Models covered are the: --
19 Inch Tornado
20 Inch Rotary Scythe
24 Inch Rotary Scythe
26 Inch Self-Propelled Scythe
72 Inch Standard Rotary Grasscutter
72 Inch 3-Point Linkage Rotary Grasscutter
120 Inch Delta Rotary Grasscutter



Phillips had a deserved reputation for making solid commercial
mowers in the 1950s and 1960s. They made smaller domestic
lawnmowers from about 1955 onwards.

I include a gallery of Whirlwinds from this brochure.
