My lucky day. Took a load of palm fronts to the tip and decided to check tip shop..... No Victa power torques, 8 X 4 stroke mowers. Had a look at sad looking line trimmers........ one loked OK, it had all parts and looked clean, $10, took it home and reattached the fuel line, filled it with fuel and new line, and did the whole yard.... Starts every time easily....... also not much wear on bump feed end. I don't do the bump, but stop machine and manually feed line, as I think bumping just wears the end knob too much....... I needed some luck...... I haven't heard of Parklander products , but it seems they make heaps of stuff , mowers etc. This one was $179 new. speedy

They are a pretty good whipper snipper - they were actually branded Pope, amongst others. I had the same thing happen the other day with a 33cc Pope (like the 2 you picked up a few months ago from memory). went third go. Parklander actually first imported TAS Tanaka.
As long as you bump feed off the concrete, you should get good life out of the head
Hi Tyler, I used my Pope a few days back. I have 3 but one working . I had to buy a head, very solid red nylon and it was only about $26. The other 2 have slasher disks on. I want to get them all going so I can jst replace the head when I want. But now I have the 26cc Parklander...... speedy

Parklander doesn't make these, so they are made by some other company..... Probably marketed under a different name and same parts...... $9 for handle plus gst and $12 for postage........... speedy

Sold it today...... The guy said I could have an old Ryobi that caught fire................ ok. Lucky speedy had an identical trimmer he was given a few weeks ago and couldn't get it going........ swapped all the burned parts and now I have a heavy duty Ryobi 2 stroke with a straight shaft and a bent shaft.... working prefectly.....

Well done speedy. I have 2 of the previous model and they are very powerful. I had an issue last week, it would just stall. Turned out the spark was earthing in the plug boot. Common apparently
They get bloody hot as no front vents - all enclosed. Have burnt my arm after 10 mins of flat out slashing
You have scored one of the 'reel easy' speed feed heads on the straight shaft. But you would have to buy a new knob at bunnings to get it to work - they are grey now about $6. You dont have to manually rewind the spool then.
And dont forget some grease in the gear head for longevity
