Just try ringing him or meeting with him again (don't send a text, better to talk to him on the phone or meet him in person). Just say I want to double check and make sure that you got my bank deposit details correct as I still haven't received any payment into my account for the lawnmowing.
See what his response will be, also it will remind him that you are still waiting for the payment.
Don't know mate it's worth a try.
