All interesting reading, maybe I was just lucky, when testing it I didn't even have the module riveted on, I just had a spring clamp holding it to the plate. MF you can bolt it on no problems, whatever suits you. What I haven't tried is fitting a Powertorque module to a points ignition one, but I see no reason why there would be any problem because I have fitted a side pull module to an early points full crank and that worked as it should
