Thank's guys.. I finally got around to cleaning the crud off the head yesterday... To my surprise, It seems that the flanges that hold a blade are still with it... Seeing that none of my other shaft trimmers have their flanges... this machine will be fitted with a blade. I would assume that the threaded adaptor is replaced with a nut...in this case an M8 x 1.0 LH thread.
btw..The HK-18 on Leon's page is different to mine as far as the head and carby (Jap)
