NormI agree - the SB machines are quite different.
The Suffolk mowers and engines were great, honest machines.
The
Qualcast Group bought Suffolk and the name was used for later variants.
In the UK the strive was to make lighter - and cheaper - reel lawnmowers.
The machine you have is really a Qualcast designed machine.
It was also branded as a Qualcast, Webb and Atco!
It can't really be compared to earlier days - when reel mowers were mainstream ...
but under attack from the dark side ... the rotaries.
