Norm, that sounds like my local tip shop, which I just checked out this week. $70-80 for the two decent looking ones they had, or a dozen or so dungers for $15-20 each.
The only one that would have tempted me, if I was after a fix & sell proposition, was a Masport Shiremaster slasher for $200 - Honda GXV oil alert engine, stuffed rear tyres but basically sound sheetmetal with some surface rust. No missing belt guards, either.
