G'day rossf is a clam shell saw,you can buy all you need very cheap if you look around but that's aftermarket would cost way to much if you where to go genuine stihl parts only saying that if the piston and cylinder are scored they may not be...also has the saw ever seen ethanol fuel that stuff can really mess things up in saws...anyways your in good hands with grumpy troubleshooting whatever the problem is...
