Got on to the online store as recommended as got the exploded diagram as to where and how this spring goes. Still having issues:
New needle and seat fitted, and yes, seat is fitted the correct way up, new carby bowl nut, fibre washer and 'O' ring for bowl fitted, carby is perfectly clean and all fuel related holes are clear and free, there are no holes in the float, and I have adjusted the float to sit at slightly different levels to no avail.
The issue is that when you blow air through the fuel line via your mouth the needle and seat shuts off as it should even when just gravity assisted. When you attach the fuel tank via fuel line to the carby and hold the tank above carby (trials before installing back on to mower)the fuel actually continuously bubbles out of the centre brass tube that runs vertical in line with the bowl nut and runs out of the air intake side of the carby hence flooding continuously. Does anyone know what I have missed. As per the diagram I got from the Outdoorking store online all parts are present and correct.
