Hi John, it will be handy if you get the numbers, but everything appears to be in order with the engine, it looks to be a fairly new model.

The numbers will appear something like this:

8708 2004. The numbers that you are interested in, I have underlined. That reveals a manufacturing date of the 20th August 1987.
