It certainly looks to be late model. The briggs numbers will give a clearer idea. The 10 blade reel is a nice bonus as they are around $400 to buy new.
Perhaps ask if he can send you a picture with the chain cover removed - I'm sure Deejay can give you a much better idea of the mowers condition then.
