Hi Grumpy , the spark plug lead has a join in it and it peviously had a join in it with normal electrical wire so I took the wire off it and with proper coil lead added it and for a bit more length. Best I could do with what I had but I would of liked to of put a whole new lead but it looks as if it is glued or moulded into the coil. When I come across a spare coil and lead I will change it over. There is a spring in the picture but hard to see so I'm not sure what you mean by the govenor linkage so tomorrow I will take some more pictures and post them . The original carby and tank had an extra hole in it for a screw to go in it and if you look at the last photo of the two tanks carefully you'll see it . The screw n the original carby and tank ran through the carby about 5 mm away from the airfilter screw heading towards the intake. The new tank didn't have this hole in it to screw ito it so I drilled one and it seems to of worked fine. The motor is running fine from a nice low idle and as I throttle up it runs nice and even all the way to the top and back again . I'll take a photo with the air cleaner off tomorrow and along with the govenor setup aswell . Thanks roebuck.
