Does anyone know if glue was used when new? Reason I ask is I stripped my Diplomat down to renew a slipping clutch and there was no evidence of glue residue so replaced the cork without glue and it works fine. Since then I have helped 2 people strip their Diplomats and no evidence of glue residue either.
