thanks ty , a little more looking tonight at the corvette (been soaking in diesel rags to get the crud off ) and yes it does have a plastic top and slide on the carb now i can see it ! a cover on the side sort... of utility style only thing missing is the catcher i think ? and the top cowl is broken where it bolts to the head but all pieces are there though so it can be repaired . a square ish type of muffler too but odd looking torpedo sort of ???? the mustang i cant find a hole where the primer would be bolted and the throttle is reeeeeeeeeeealy notchy too , but its waiting now keen on hearing the old 'vette run woot thanks again ty, your such a help
