Engine numbers and some side shot’s (Particularly around the carby) would defiantly help.

As a preliminary assessment, I would say you have the second Self Propelled, That would make it a 1970-1971 Victa 160cc Self Propelled, Code V69, however you could also be looking at the V68 or V98, being the 1969 and 1971-1972 Variants respectively.

The engine number will give us the year, which will be a dead giveaway, however the carby will also be helpful, if it’s a G2 or 3Q, that would indicate a stronger chance of the 1969 (v68) model, however looking at the throttle set-up, I would say your looking at a G3 carby, which is indicative of the later two.

The catcher is indeed original, as is the chute, and it looks from here like you also have the original fuel gauge cap.


The engine number will be on a flat spot, on the uper lip of the bottom half of the crancase, on the carby side.
