1. Sounds like the needle is sticking in the carby.

2. The main jet could be partly blocked.

3. Check the hole in the fuel cap as it also could be blocked.

4. If the mower is old the seal in the bottom bearing could be leaking.

5. If old motor the rings could be worn.

Use the search button and type in carby information and links.

This will give you information on the carby.
