Ok lets start with a few questions:

1. Did you remove the starter?

2. Did you remove the section that the carby connects to on the motor?

3. On that section did you check the 'O' ring to see if it had any nicks out of it?

4. Did you pull apart the carby?

I suggest that you have a look at this area on the board for information on the carby & Starter first.
