If people are looking to make their own stickers there is a way to do this now. There is available a clear plastic paper (vinyl) material in A4 size that can be used in inkjet printers to make stickers, decals and labels. It can then be cut to the size needed and it has a sticky backing. I can't comment on how durable the stickers are as I haven't used it myself but I have just bought some of the "paper" on Ebay. I think Office works has it too but I could not guarantee that it is the same stuff.
Make your own decals This might be the product at office works:
Transparent stickers The vinyl sheet has probably been around for awhile. However, I know others have asked about making their own stickers and I have only just found out about it and wanted to spread the word. You can do your own artwork in a graphics, photo or word processing program and then print them off.
