Hello MowerMan Thanks for the post. Your description gives a good idea of what the chain was intended for and how it should be adjusted.Have to say it looks a very post hoc addition,after any serious design. Anyway, given the size of the wheels on the mower I wouldn't like to go over any serious ditches! Thanks for your help Mungo
