Ive always hated this thing because it is more of a Turf mower IMO and it never really cut grass all that well so its been neglected for 4 or 5 years and left in one of the sheds due to lack of interest.
Now Ive found the ODK forum and shop though im interested again coz working blind is a pain and Ive grabbed a grouse manual for this old girl from the downloads area so I can actually see what im doing.
I will post numbers and piccies here shortly but the basics are as follows.
I bought this unit for my Ex, it was going to be a racing mower but the guy lost interest, I made him an offer and he accepted.
A new battery and a change of fluids and she fired up and ran fine but the cutting deck had been buggered with and I suspect the belts were too loose.
So I delivered the old girl to the Ex and she wouldnt use it instead delegating its use to my Step sons who instead of mowing the house paddock hooned around the place on it eventually buggering it up, pulling it apart and losing half the bloody bits!
So she sat outside in the weather for 6 months till I hauled it back home in disgust.
Im told she has a 13.5 HP B&S with a cast iron sleeve?
Lekky start which is nice and she isnt a bad looking old girl.
So now the fun begins...........
