Hi Jay, the thing is they would not be hard to reproduce in quantity with the technology today, (laser and water cutting) etc., and the prices would be reasonable; $300 is obscene for a Victa badge and could, and probably does, prevent some people completing their restorations Hopefully, somebody will do it someday.
