Hi TJ1, Congrats on you owning a Scotty 45, I really would like to be able to help you with your query, but I haven't needed to remove my rear roller, all still going fine.....
However, we do have the Scotty manuals in the "Parts Lists and Manuals" topic on the forum....you will need to subscribe, Just click "My Stuff" on the toolbar above, scroll to "Suscriptions" click and follow the prompts....easy peasy!!
The exploded diagram may give you a clue on disassembly.
