I have a power torque motor that runs well but had a knock at very low RPM. I pulled the pull starter of to have a look and found there is about 1mm of up and down movement in the bottom con rod bearing.

You can see in the pics where the bottom of the con rod as been rubbing in the outside edge of the pull starter alloy case.

I think you need a special puller etc to change the bearing etc assuming that is the only problem. Is it worth it? I do have a spare mower base for this motor to go on, just trying to get an idea of cost?
