How old is your saw ??
I would try a carb rebuild. carb kits are cheap.
I used to run a lawncare company, and know how troublesome these small 2 stroke motors can be.
I have seen more blowers, saws, trimmers and the like be thrown out simply because someone left gas in the tank for 3 years, and the diaphrams in the carb got hard. After that happens you may as well forget it.
I personally own two trimmers and three saws that I have found in the trash. The only thing wrong with any of them was that the carbs were in need of a rebuild, after that, they all run great.
If your saw is more than a few years old, I would try a carb rebuild, esp. if you have let it sit with stale gas.
