Here's a further update on the progress of the Ranger, so the engine has been refreshed with a new carby new coil and some new paint. I have had trouble trying to source another filter box for the engine and the only only I found so far was a used one from the U.S and was going to cost about $80.
So instead I added a little pod filter which attaches by running some 3/16 thread bar through the top of the filter and secured using washers and a wing nut. I also change the type of exhaust that was on it the new one threads instead of being secured with bolts.
I have fired up the engine and tuned the carby after watching the how to video 2 or 3 times. and it runs well. The governor was a bit stuck from years of junk and dirt building up but works fine now it's clean.
I've added some black leather grip to the handle and I have few ideas for what I want to do for the decal panel that was attached to the handle.
The gear lever on the side had been broken and replaced with some thread bar so I have changed that and made the handle a bit more ergonomic for me. I also added the same leather as before to the lever.
Next is to replace the foam and leather that was on the seat as it was torn and had bits missing, I'm also going to add new letter and number decals to the gear selector and deck height lever areas as well.
