You would think it would have one otherwise dust will get in!

In the old days (where I come from) equipment was made by qualified people who had pride in what they made which meant that the equipment would last for a long time.

Thus you did not need 'O' rings etc to seal and because the engines were made with minimal clearance and you would get a good life from the motor.

Also note that the steel was made in Australia (by qualified tradesmen) not by unqualified tradesmen from countries that I am not willing to name.

I have equipment over 50 years old that will still out last the machines that are built today.

Sorry but have to get off the soap box as I will keep going on and on about the rubbish that is being made these days. cheers2
