Thanks for your response.
I have done the following as per your suggestion:
1. The fuel tank filter and the carby filter are clean
2. I have replaced the diaphragm.
3. I have changed the fuel to ensure that the fuel oil mix is correct.
I am able to keep it running with the choke in the run position as long as I keep squeezing the throttle trigger. When I release the throttle trigger, the engine revs up and then stops. Any further tips would be appreciated.

The screen in the carby is it a tight weave mesh and can you see through it?
Is the carby stamped made in mexico?
The answer clean as some peoples clean is different to others. Does the filter have stains at all?
