firstly thanks for steering the topic back on track and second, the relative scarcity of long shaft PTs makes this endeavour worthwhile IMO, plus it gives you the chance to check inside the engine's overall condition and replace any wear items like the piston, bearings and rings and also give it a hone if needed.


Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!
