Prodiamine is an excellent pre emergent product. A few years ago I was lucky enough to get some into AU from the USA and it was the 65WDG - 65% active ingredient and it was about $150 for 5lb. I reckon I've got 20 years of pre emergent control, even after sharing to a few friends and family.. My application rate is 8g per 100m and I have not seen a whisper of winter grass in my couch for years. Yearly maximum is 1oz or 30g, so I split it into 4 x 8g applications ie: quarterly.
Doing the maths for Barricade at 48% concentration - you should only need 65/48 * 8g(ml) = 11ml per 100m - so I'm curious as to what the label recommends..
Waters in with half an inch of water and enjoy the clean lawn!
