This is the one I pick up on the curbside collections a couple of weeks ago. I even checked to see it was getting thrown out. No one home. Their lawn was only about 5mx5m (just finished reno)

Oil dripping out of muffler, full 1L in sump, full tank of fuel. Original plug (dirty), clean filter (and oiled), oil ready for a change but not disgusting by any stretch.

Started first pull and flung itself around something fierce. Turned off, looked under and saw 1 blade was a 10mm under the other.

I thought - Bugger; bent crank.

Luckily, it turned out the blade boss 'wings' sacrificially bent upward, and the entire blade disc was on a tilt. Removed disc and boss, removed plug and had the pull cord pulled slowly whilst I looked directly down the crank - no bend at all

Another boss, 4x new blades, drain and refill oil to correct level, put in another air filter and plug (others have been kept for cleaning). Degreased engine as a bit of dirt. Put on a front right axle clip as it was missing.

First pull off it went, dripped oil from muffler for 2 minutes, blew smoke for 5 mins then perfect. 3050rpm flat out, 2300ish idle

One of the best I have ever found

Its a keeper
