Hi Sapper and NK,

yes this motor didn't know itself after getting promoted from the ratty worn out steel rustbucket of a base to this almost like new 1980s thumb latch alloy base.

NK, this final thumb latch base is an excellent partner to the PT half crank. It just vacuums the clippings, leaving a crisp clean path with zero body flex though the handles. I grew up using alloy Victas and when I used a steel Victa four the first time, I was not impressed by the bendy feel in the body. I couldn't understand why anybody would want this.

Sapper, two blades perform as fine as four. I do like the humming sound a four blade disc makes though.

Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!
