That image helps a lot!
It does confirm a secondary clutch on this A-V.
My best guess is that this dog clutch was secured by
a regular RH bolt (bottom right), but the sprocket nut had accordingly
a left hand thread to prevent unscrewing in disengaged mode.

Nothing is certain here, but I feel Norm will help
others in understanding the A-V final drive.
I wish I had the answer, but information is scarce.
