I had a very similar discussion with the blokes at a local mower shop whom I respect, and they advised against rubberised rollers while I was doing my rebuild. No harm if you've got a nice open area, but I reckon I would have made a mess of my Zoysia patch by now with all the short, sharp turns required in there.
Still kills me every time I crunch the rollers on the bricks though. And they look the goods, that's for sure.
