recently acquired, about 40 y.o.

Does that have a 5HP iron bore motor on it???

Mine has a 4hp engine.

What do the stickers say on it.

Ive got one here and its got 5Hp cast iron bore decal on it.
I think its a bit more orange in colour. Going to drag it out and fiddle with it tomorrow. Will take a pic.

I am starting to think that maybe mine was that colour once before it faded.

Redeye, would you be able to post me up some pictures of the self propelled arrangemnt?? Looks like mine had that stuff but its been removed. Just wondering what it looked like.

these were originally 4hp when new so chances are if its the original motor its a 4 hp. have one of these myself with a 5 hp fitted in the late 1980s great mower

My 5HP had a broken crank.

I put a 4HP I/C motor on it. Put it on eBay and only got $80 for it. Not too happy.
