Hello
ODK restoration lovers
This is a great
Showcase of a restorer’s art.
I am often frustrated at three things: under-restoration,
over-restoration, and poor choice of restoration.
All restorations should be thought through.
The great thing about
Steve’s restoration is that –
not only was it thoughtful – but it has another secret ingredient …
provenance … through family!
A full - and accurate restoration - is justified here.
These are great ingredients for a great story …
This is Steve’s Grandfather’s
Lawn Patrol, purchased in
1959.
I guess, as a family remembrance, Steve has devoted enthusiasm
and energy to this project. This is a recreation of a sort-of family
time capsule and tribute.
This tribute is second to none.
