In the mid-1970s Victa made a significant decision that changed the very nature
of the company. Victa moved from being a lawnmower manufacturer to being a garden
products company.

More importantly, it was no longer just a local manufacturer: it felt comfortable
in marketing both local and imported products under the Victa brand. From American
ride-ons, to German chainsaws, to Australian-made professional turf equipment,
Victa wanted to do it all. And to top-dress all of this, Victa even gave you advice
as to how to grow good lawn (thanks Hortico!).
