Hello
ODK History Lovers
It's not that common to have
after-market accessories like
pumps and saws to be fitted to lawnmowers.
Here is one 'Engineered & Approved' for the
Victa of the
late 1950s.
How the
12" Circular Saw attachment actually looked will remain a mystery at this time.
It had a "fixed drive" and "many extras".
I don't know who manufactured the
Vic-Mobile. The advertisement reproduced below (from my original) says it was
sold through one of the earliest Victa dealers in Victoria,
Ray Tijou. I did an interesting story on that character
HERE.I know only of one other lawnmower that offered a pump as an approved accessory - the
Singer Lawnmower
of the early
1960s.
Offering
P.T.O. accessories was not common, but not unheard of.
Austral Villiers did so with their
unusual
Adaptomatic rotary, and
Mobilco did it with their
Power Reel Mower.
