Neat unit. That's probably my favourite dress cowl for the PT. I hope it goes to an owner who appreciates what an awesome mower he or she it's getting for so little outlay and has no trouble mixing fuel.
Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!
Probably around 6 hours work in it, pointless exercise but fills in another day. And I fish oil the inside all around the dreaded left hand side to hopefully slow the rust down a bit.
MF, some people must watch shows like that i guess I saw 5 mins of it once after the news finished and I forgot to switch channels. The mower was complete, looking pretty sad so I was able to use everything from it except the base, I put another set of handles on it because I already had those painted up and ready to go, even the blades were as new. I didn't even modify the carby on this one because it worked fine, just new float needle and primer cap. That is how most of my mowers end up, repainted like that, at least people end up with a good cheap mower
It's a shame you don't make even a modest profit from it as a new one retailed for over $600 just before they stopped being part of Victa's range last year. Anyone buying your mowers are getting more than they deserve for the money.
