Hi Tiger, these are the needles and seats I have coming, problem is they are a few weeks away, at least the grass isn't growing too fast at the moment

It's very exciting to discover someone is on their way to making these diamonds in the rough into polished gems.
As you have pointed out, there are so many out there as they have been produced for forty years for a great chunk of domestic mowers out there and even despite the tens of thousands that have ended up at the tip without being harvested for their bits, the sheer numbers produced over that time will ensure that they will be plentiful for some time to come.
This will make a great lawnmower engine the perfect lawnmower engine. I just wish the word would spread so as more people won't give up on their treasures and turn to the throwaway four stroke.

Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!

Thanks Norm, there's no stopping them now. Is the seat provided a perfect fit for the Victa carby? With the machining of the needle I'm assuming you had to machine the sides down a bit as it looks quite thick.

Tiger the tests so far make this the best carby ever produced anywhere in the world. One test I haven't tried is using the nitrile seat and the Victa needle, might work and save the problem of having to machine the needle down, but the fact that I have to drill the primer cap out to 3/16th inch may allow the Victa needle to wobble about a bit much and it may not center up on the seat, not sure I might look at that tomorrow

I have also ordered 10 seats as spares and or to try with the Victa needles. Using the Victa needle doesn't help with the fact the Victa needles don't have enough weight in them. If the fuel tank was higher gravity would help with the weight of the fuel
