Hello just wondering if anybody has or had a masport Olympic reel mower. I've just purchased one of these mowers, at a very good price. The only problem noted was the clutch was faulty, that all I know about it. Has anybody ever had problems with the clutch, if so how did they fix the issue. The mower has the y shaped handle bars. I cannot upload a pic.

Hello Brendansarah15

The Olympic name was first used by NZ's Morrison.
Masport's acquisition of Morrison resulted in the further developing
of the Olympic name.

We need more information.
Is the clutch the primary one, or for the self-propulsion?
Images are good here ...

Info on uploading images HERE.

Hope this helps.

It appears there are two clutches: a primary centrifugal one;
and a secondary, landroll clutch.

You will need to detail the symptoms ...

Hello. I have since purchased the mower. And It has arrived. Mower starts. It wants to drive forward all the time without hold anything to engage it. I took off the panels and had a look at the section where the clutch moves against the frame. I noticed the pin that goes through the folk looking thing had broken. Part number 94. ( can I purchase them)So I'm hoping that is the problem. Also noticed the chain on the inside that connects to the cylinder is very loose, I've adjusted the spacer but m wondering if the chain is to big. You can see how sloppy it is in the pics.
Also does anybody know where to purchase new handle bars as they are broken. Thanks for your input. Hope that all makes sense.
I've attached pics.

Hello Brendansarah15
That is hilarious! ... I have never seen a clutch actuating pin break.
This pin separates the clutch halves for disengaging drive.

It will be the problem, I think...
The chain is probably stretched through poor adjustment.

Hope this helps.

I've contacted masport Australia. Let's hope they reply to me. I can understand why it broke it does not go in straight, therefore it would have pressure on it all the time. Would you happen to know what size that chain is, and I'll try and purchase another chain. Also the bottom sprocket may be a bit worn. Does anybody know where I can source one of those. Is the one with 2 sprockets welded together. Cheers.
