Hi There,
Just picked up a 17" Scott Bonnar (with 2 catchers)that the local "Mens Shed" sold as a fund raiser
Took it straight in for a blade sharpening service & to get it looked over
The bloke said it was in pretty good nick. It will need the bottom blade sooner or later & the clutch cable needs replacing
Apart from that he said it was pretty solid, but also threw in he could tell it had done plenty of work.
The frame plate is missing so I don't know the exact model or year is ?
Also the motor appears to be replaced as it says it complies with 2006 fuel emission laws
Any idea on the mowers model/age ?
I want to change the oil & I`ve read you refill it until it overflows
Does anyone know roughly how much that is ? I have a bottle of oil with about 400ml in it.
I`m not sure if that will be enough or I need to get another bottle.
Anyway, if anyone can assist me with any info on the mower it would be much appreciated

Yes - 1.25 pints, 21 ounces or 600ml.

Yes, the engine is a re-power.
Expert Mod BB would have a better idea with dating the machine.

Thanks for the reply, info & welcome!
That makes sense as the 1L bottle has about 400ml left after a previous oil change on another mower
I`ll pick up another bottle
