I had a bit of good fortune this week in my search for the Victa Razor 2 stroke and 4 stroke.
I won on an eBay auction,and purchased this

Then while I was looking for an owners manual I stumbled upon this,on Gumtree.


After cleaning and checking to make sure they run I took some pictures of them.






It's funny how things go,as this time last week I was wanting to find both and all in less than a week I now have found both.
I was hoping that some of you could help me in some research as I've been trying to find a sales brochure on them as I know there are a few different models with the Razor.
As you may or may not know I have a wanted add for finding these.Of which I'm going to leave open as I know there were different models within the Razor.These are the two pictures I put in the wanted add.

Now you can see here this 2 stroke has a grey dress cowl and a blue air box.Mine has a blue dress cowl and a black air box.Mine is a Cut and Mulch the other is just a cut.

This one has a 6.0Hp quantum,mine is a 5Hp.Mine is just a cut the other is a cut & mulch.
So I would like to find brochure owners manuals sales brochures etc so I can find out what differences there are within the Razor range.
If have a Razor please post some pictures and some dates as I think that will hold the key in working out the different models.
Both of mine are from 2003.
If you can help me with my research of the Victa Razor range please do as I'm very curious to unlock the story within.

OK after a little research I've found out why some of these Razors have a different look.
It was due to different retailers (ie. Bunnings) as they wanted there own look.That's why Bunnings can offer the 10% off any stocked item due to no one being able to have the same item.I'm just not sure where my Blue cowled 2 stroke came from as I haven't seen many with the blue cowl and black air box.
I am going to restore these 2 mowers,not that the 4 stroke will need much work but I still want them to look like they came right out of the box.
So I found these side covers as they both have various amounts of wear.



I can't get a lot of stuff for them.Like the top cover for the handles where it joins the base.I can get grey ones but not blue.Also the mulch plug I can only get that in black,but for the razor they were blue.I will have to get some hub caps for the 4 stroke though all 4 have been rubbed up the side of the garden beds.

I'm not sure that this is a very popular thread but I have learnt a lot about these models and one thing I have learnt is that the 2 stroke I have above didn't originally come with the blue cowl.That came off of a Victa Tornado.I know I have seen others with them but I'm guessing people have just changed them for it's looks.Bugger so I have obtained the proper grey one for it.
