G'day Terry your a wee bit too far away for me but good luck. With the amount of catchers out there held together with bits of gal and pop rivets I reckon your starting bid is bugger all. Hopefully it will go to someone with a restored mower.

It is not common that NOS Victa catchers come up at auction.
I do not think this is a Model 15 catcher though ... but a Model 14.
A higher speced catcher than the Mayfair, but should fit all 1968-72
mid-arch Victas as described (without handle hooks).

Thanks for that information. I've never been a Victa fan, this catcher turned up in a bulk buy somewhere and I thought it might be useful for someone.

I'd say CyberJack has the right model here. Looking at the fleaBay pics, the front opening is offset, typical of the Model 14 and 19 [looks like those used a very similar basic shell].

The Model 14 catcher was used on Victa Corvette and Cortina series in the 1964-69 period, and a couple of uncommon models [the Self-Propelled 2 160cc Model 568, and Key-Lectric Model 564] in 1968-9.

The Model 15 for Mayfair models had a wider, symmetrical opening - pics HERE. It was used on both Mayfair and Storebrand mid-arch models from 1968 to 1980.

I never realised there was so much variation in catchers. Thanks.
