Hi, im chasing a bottom end or complete engine for a model 2a rotomo engine 4. if anyone is interested in getting rid of one please let me know, cheers
Hi Deano and everyone else....... Just what is the differece between the cranksaft assys in these various engine. ? Looking at the pics in the manual they look the same. The engine in question has the pancake type muffler Model 1 engine has the Wico Magneto and then model 5a is the Special type with the underneath the chassis exhaust system . The Wico crank is pt No 2A and has top half Pt.No 2-002 Engine No 4 has crankshaft No 2B This is fitted with a lower half shaft Part No 2-003 and is the same lower shaft as used in the 2a Cranksaft used on the Wioo set up . This lower half part No 2-003 has a No 2 Morse taper for the blade boss so with out going any further it seems this is the only way to pick this engine. Just going out to the shed and have alook around. I know there are some cranks around with a thin con rod but perhaps thats another story for another day Cheers Joe
