I was talking to the Mrs grandmother yesterday who told me they used to have a Pace. It was too big and heavy so sat in the garage unused for years then eventually got traded in. Not even the bloke at the mower shop wanted it because it was so big and heavy. It's a crying shame they didn't leave it in the garage until I came along.
I also noticed an old spanner like the one Jack posted earlier in this thread but it is unmarked.
Is it possible that the can above came about because Victa and BP had an agreement and Victa owned Pope?

2-stroke mower addict!
Picking this up over the weekend. Looks like I'm joining the Pace club. Pace18 Automatic 1958 Villiers engine and a laminated news advertisement showing 3 Types of Pace18 with my model the top price model. I think it's got the wrong handelbar joint tho. But still a beautiful piece! I love having a few different mowers in with my favourite model's.

Personally I think this is a great looking mower!!! It will definitely be one of my favourites!!! It's so clean this will be kept like this!!!
