Hello gml

It would be hard to find anyone who has given a negative review of an
old edger. They cut cleaner than line trimmers, provided you only have
vertical edging next to concrete or paving.

Brands that have come up on these forums include:-
- Rover Model 81
- Scott Bonnar Model 38
- Victa Tilt-a-cut
- Ings Edger
- Little Wonder Edger

All of these are strongly made, and, most importantly, blades are available.

Hope this helps.

G'day gml

You're welcome.

I will say something about the Little Wonder.
Even though not of Australian make, they are my favourite classic edger.
THe operator can adjust both depth of cut and engage the cutter from the
handle.

Little Wonder continue to make products today.

All very on the edge.
