Hi, I picked up an old Turner however, I don't know it's vintage or history and am somewhat sketchy on the engine make. Carb is a villiers B12/5 with handle mount throttle lever. Rope pull start. [Linked Image]

Hello stev

A warm welcome to these forums.

This is the most advanced of all the Turners.
It's the first high-arch mower made by the big manufacturers.
Best guess, they were introduced in late 1966 and finished in late 1969,
when Turner decided to end lawnmower manufacturing.

Yours is an early one. The serial of yours ends in '/66' (I think), meaning
you have a 1966 model. Yes, it is a Villiers Torque Major engine.

A great restoration here:

Brochure here:

Hope this helps.

Jack, thanks so much for the information. It is my intention to restore it back to original. I love old mowers and all types of old machinery.
