found this in the scrap metal bin the other day, hopefully i can get it all working then i will work on fixing it up!

That's great that it is saved.
These are collectible. And a seven blade reel too!
Sold here from late 1954 until the late 1950s.

Could you confirm this is an Australian-made one?
(it will say this on the wheels)

thanks for the info Cyber, it is an Australian one and it is the 14 inch version

These were the last Australian-made Qualcasts.

Note that by this time, there was only the Model H and yours.
THe Model H was Qualcast's most successful model, staying in
production for three decades - amazing.

The Blue Ribbon was a fresher design, made to compete mainly
with the new Ogdens and Popes, with tubular handles and rubber
tyres.

A good find mate.

must have been a good mower to be successful that long! I'm planning to try and get the handle bars straight, then weld new pipe onto the top of the handle bars, then it will just be replacing parts and painting! luckily my dad is a timber miller/tree lopper/old stuff finder and his friend is a metal worker so finding/making parts will be easy haha thanks for a the info
