Hello ODK History Lovers

This article will be of interest for lovers of early British power reel mowers.
This is a reproduction of an original article that appeared in the Commercial
Motor Magazine
, from July 13, 1926.

The article is titled "Motor Mowers of To-Day: A Brief Review of the Various Types
and Sizes of Power-propelled Grass-cutting Machine on the British Market"
.

This is not a comprehensive discussion, not does it cover all British manufacturers
of the time, but it is a valuable insight into most of the major (and some minor)
manufacturers of the day.

Dennis Mowers - Dennis Bros., Ltd., of Guildford
Green's Mowers - Thomas Green and Son, Ltd., of Leeds
Automower Mowers - Auto-Mower Engineering Co., Ltd., Norton St. Philip, near Bath
Atco Mowers - Chas. H. Pugh, Ltd., of Birmingham
Governor Mowers - John Shaw and Sons Ltd., of Wolverhampton
Ransomes Mowers - Ransomes, Sims and Jefferies, Ltd., of Ipswich
Lloyd's Mowers - Lloyds and Co. Ltd., of Letchworth
Godiva Mowers - The Godiva Engineering Co., Ltd., of Slough
Rototiller - Messrs. R. D. Mozer, of London, E.C.1
JP Mowers - J.P. Super Lawn Mowers, Ltd., of Meynell Road, Leicester
